I did a second recording in case I had made some sort of an error but the same thing happened. I made a recording and saved it to file but when I opened it to burn it onto a CD, the sound was quite muffled and not clear as it was when played on Wavepad. I have been using Wavepad successfully for over a year and have not had any problems until this morning. With the Normalize function, you can play back audio and automatically raising the volume level to a range in which there is no distortion (warping).
